I'm looking at buying a refurbished Macbook pro. It's long overdue. Here is what I need: - smokin fast - ability for me to have 80 browser tabs and 25 programs running simultaneously without freezing up (minimal slow down) I don't know which one to get: http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/specialdeals/mac

What I would suggest is buying this, replacing the memory for 8GB and getting an Optibay kit (http://www.mcetech.com/optibay/) + a SSD for your boot drive. RAM and an SSD are the best things you can do to make a computer feel faster. Even after adding the RAM, SSD & Optibay, you're still under 2k.

I'm willing to sell it for a discount Tara, let me know if you're interested :) I'd rather it go to a good person than sifting through Craigslist applicants.
Forgot to mention, it has 8GB of RAM - this is the configuration I chose when I was going to strike out on my own and have 930290832+ tabs open at a time while running heavy DB work in the background.
I don't know if this one is 'beefy' enough for me. I do lots of video stuff, too (forgot to mention my 25,000 mp3's and that I do a bunch of video editing). How much would you sell it for?
