I've owned countless incase bags over the years. My daily backpack has been in active daily rotation for the last 6 years. Always great stuff in classic designs and colorways.

Here, we really like the BUILT NY bags. They are in neoprene from more classic (black in the link) up to cooler/edgier designs/motifs. Not really geeky or girly. They now have bags for 13 inches laptops. Their bags are really comfy, durable and practical. We've had some with motifs that have stayed nice for years.

It's my local brand, so I'm probably biased, but Crumpler's have served us well for such a long time. Contains a fair amount of space (12.5 L / 763 cubic inches) but still fairly lightweight (0.8 kg / 1.76 lbs). Unusually for a Crumpler only comes in black, but other Crumpler ones come in different colours (and you may be able to get customised ones in San Fran)
