Be Nice

You know that advice your parents gave you when you were young that went something like, "If you can't say anything nice, it's best not to say anything at all?" Well, we encourage you to speak your mind here, but do it in a way that is respectful. You can disagree without being disagreeable.

Ask real shopping questions

Buyosphere is a place where people help people shop. That means that questions should be about asking for help in finding the (right) product for you. The more details you provide, the better the recommendations you will get.

Share what you know

If you come across a shopping question that you or someone you know could answer, go ahead and post your suggestion or share it to a person whom you think could answer! That's what makes buyosphere awesome. We all know stuff about stuff that could be helpful to others, so don't be shy to jump in!

Always recommend products from a merchant site

Sure blogs, magazines and other sources talk about cool products, problem is, you can't complete a purchase from these pages. When answering a question with a product recommendation, make sure there is a buy link on that page, it will be that much more helpful to the community.

Be Honest

Asking for things you don't need, or answering with bogus recommendations is not cool. What makes buyosphere awesome is people really helping people, so if you choose to participate, be real.

In most circumstances, we like to give second chances, so we'll send you a warning if you step across any of the lines listed below. Subsequent violations can result in account termination without warning.

Don't harass anyone on here.

This isn't a forum for you to harass, abuse, impersonate, or intimidate others. If we receive a valid complaint about your conduct, we'll send you a warning or terminate your account.

Don't be a creep.
